Eosin Methylene Blue Agar (EMB) is a selective and differential microbiological medium used for the cultivation and identification of gram-negative bacteria. It contains dyes that inhibit the growth of gram-positive bacteria and help differentiate between lactose fermenting and non-fermenting organisms.
