Sulfite Polymixin Sulphadiazine Agar is a specialized agar medium used in microbiology for the isolation and identification of Salmonella and Shigella species. This selective medium contains sulfite, polymyxin, and sulphadiazine to inhibit the growth of unwanted bacteria while allowing the growth of target organisms.
