El MAXPRECISION LAB’S MAXVPH pcr KIT Essential Tool for Early and Accurate Detection of HPV.
Human Papillomavirus (HPV) is the most prevalent Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) globally. With more than 40 genotypes capable of infecting the anogenital tract, one third of them are linked to cervical cancer and anal neoplasia. In fact, more than 90% of these cancers are the result of untreated HPV infections, making it the fourth most common type of cancer in women worldwide.
The World Health Organization (WHO) recognizes three detection methods for screening for precancerous lesions, including the high-risk HPV test. This method stands out for its specificity, allowing the presence of the virus to be detected even before the appearance of lesions, facilitating an early and accurate diagnosis of the disease.
Our MaxVPH kit offers qualitative and individual detection of up to 15 of the most common medium-high risk HPV genotypes, using DNA samples from cervical smears or biopsies, penile smears and urine.
